Interior Painting
Signs it's time to repaint.
You usually feel it before you can name it — the room just stops feeling fresh. Here are the signs we see most often:
- Fading or discolored walls — south- and west-facing rooms fade fastest at Colorado altitude.
- Outdated colors — builder beiges and early-2000s tans reading dated next to current palettes.
- Peeling, cracking, or chipping paint — usually a sign of moisture, poor prep, or a finish nearing end of life.
- Scuff marks, stains, and damage — hallways, stairwells, and kids' rooms that no longer clean up.
- Selling or renting your home — neutral, photo-ready colors that broaden buyer appeal.
- It's been five to seven years — a good rule of thumb even when the walls still look fine to you.
